Above is a picture of Sapphire, a dog I owned, trained and used in a theater production called Annie. The Broadway producer gave the Tennessee Repertoire Theater the right to present the Annie production here in Nashville. These pictures were taken by the Nashville Tennessean newspaper and published on November 30, 1997.
During the production, I trained Sapphire to complete various exercises while I was off stage, behind the curtain giving her hand signals. Sapphire, my dog that played Sandy in the production, was a dog that I rescued. She is no longer with me now, but memories of her will never be forgotten.
