Guy's Competition Dogs

Nashville Dog Trainer, Guy Morrow and his AKC Obedience Trials Dog-in-Training, Taos

Taos

This page is a tribute to my dog Taos. Taos was adopted from the Nashville dog pound, better known as Nashville Metro Animal Control on March 12, 2008. He was vocal, energetic and full of life; his behavior is synonymous to mine which makes us a match. When I walked away from his kennel he became even more vocal and at that moment I vowed never to leave him.

Although there were many dogs there that were qualified to be Demo Dogs; Taos and I bonded immediately. He is a living example that you can find a good dog at your local shelters. He has many functions that he performs each day; but there are two main functions that he thrives for and they are:
  1. Demonstrations and,
  2. AKC Obedience Competition Trails.
Taos is my Demo Dog that I use to demonstrate how my clients' dogs will respond after training. In the business of dog training, owners go through evaluations and consultations; but it is the demonstrations, I'm told that seal the deal.

As of October 2009, the American Kennel Club changed their regulations to allow all dogs including mix breeds, cross breeds etc.; to perform in their sanction obedience trails.

Taos and I will be among the first mix breed to be invited to the National AKC Obedience Invitation. And who knows the first to be called the NOC (National Obedience Champion).
